Martial Arts Classes and Programs
Next Edge Academy runs a full weekly schedule of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Kickboxing, MMA and Kids programs. Pick the discipline that fits your goals — or come try a free class and we'll help you decide.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
The gentle art — leverage, timing and technique over strength. Gi and no-gi classes for every level, from first-day white belts to competitors. Our BJJ program is the foundation of the academy and runs six days a week.
Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Confidence, discipline, focus and real self-defense — without ego. Age-appropriate coaching that teaches kids how to handle themselves on and off the mats. A fun, structured environment kids actually want to come back to.
Boxing
Fundamentals-first Western boxing: footwork, stance, punches, defense and ring craft. Great cardio, sharpens reflexes and builds real self-defense skill. Bag work, mitts, drilling and controlled sparring for those who want it.
Kickboxing / Muay Thai
Punches, kicks, knees, elbows and clinch — the art of eight limbs. Structured drills and pad work in a welcoming room. Whether you want fitness, self-defense or fight prep, our striking program meets you where you are.
Mixed Martial Arts
Full MMA training for students with prior experience in MMA or at least six months in another martial art. Coaches with pro fight experience developing amateur and pro competitors. New to martial arts? Start with BJJ or striking first.
Beginner Courses
Never trained before? Our beginner courses in BJJ, Boxing and Kickboxing give you a structured on-ramp so you learn the fundamentals without being thrown into a regular class on day one.
R.E.I.G.N. — Women's Self-Defense
A women's-only self-defense program built on real MMA. Saturdays at 8am: striking, grappling, clinch work and mindset — taught from the ground up. No experience needed, classes are free, you just bring gear.
Women's BJJ Open Mat
An open, women's-only jiu-jitsu mat every other Sunday from 10–11am. Open to women from any Sioux Falls area gym and to women who have never trained — the goal is one strong women's BJJ community in town.
